About Dr. Watkins:

Dr. Jennifer Watkins grew up in St. Paul, MN. She attended the University of Minnesota and graduated with a double major in Physics and Astronomy. After college she spent two years teaching English in Japan. She completed her dental education at the prestigious New York University College of Dentistry in 2009. Dr. Watkins has had additional training as a dental Resident at the Minneapolis VA hospital and has worked in both Community Health Dental clinics as well as in private practice. She is passionate about dental community service and has volunteered as a dentist in both Honduras and Guatemala where she provided free dental service to people in need.

Dr. Watkins bought Dr. Smilanich's practice because she wanted a practice with a family-like atmosphere where she could spend time getting to know patients and work with an amazing staff. River Falls is the perfect location. She plans to serve the River Falls community by providing quality dentistry to the whole family. She is very excited to work with all of Dr. Smilanich's wonderful patients.

Dr. Watkins enjoys the variety of general dentistry and treating patients of all ages. She works hard to make patients feel comfortable and at ease during all dental procedures. She is extremely committed to continuing dental education and regularly attends courses and conventions locally as well as in New York City to keep up with advancements in dentistry. She enjoys acquiring new information and skills to incorporate into her everyday practice. She is also involved with focus group panels at 3M to assist with 3M's current dental research and development.

In her free time, Dr. Watkins is an avid tennis player. She is a member of the United States Tennis Association and plays in many tennis leagues throughout the Twin Cities. She also enjoys traveling, golf, rollerblading, skiing, working out, and spending time with her husband and two cats.
